Out of 7 appliances 5 have needed repair in 3 years!!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I bought my Siemens appliance's in January 2012, so far the interior light on one oven exploded, then the other oven whilst on cleaning mode locked and wouldn't open, then the hob had what looked like bubbles under it, then the fridge freezer stopped dispensing water and froze inside the fridge freezing the food inside! then the bearings on my washing machine have gone so I phoned siemens expecting their excellent customer sevice to help!! they told me that as I had an engineer out for the fridge I could ask what he thought, however I would then have to pay for another engineer to come out to confirm what the first one had said and would also have to pay for all the parts, my machine is just over 3 years ok the warranty was only 2 years but Siemens claim that their products are top of the range and will last ... I don't think so, the customer service is appalling and I will never ever recommend nor buy another Siemen's product again

Bad Performance - Siemens Refrigerator (KG57NSB20M)

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Purchased so costly refrigerator (KG57NSB20M) on 20 Sep 2014 in Islamabad, Pakistan solely to have a hassle free life. Refrigerator performance from September 2014 till March 2015 may be considered satisfactory probably due cold weather in Islamabad.

Unluckily could not able to judge the performance from April till July 2015 as my family shifted abroad. Family came back to Pakistan in end July 2015. The performance of the fridge section is much below average as start spoiling all dairy products, flour, vegetables and fruits. This alarming state of affair for such an appealing and very costly product, raise a big question mark on other products of Siemens as well.

A technicians of service center visited four times but no fruitful results could be obtained.

Although, the attitude of Service center and visited technicians every time very positive, however, they could not able to trace root cause of the problem. Contact detail zia3351@***.com.

Seimens Domestic Appliance Repairs

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Seimens will sell consumers spares for domestic appliances but will not issue any instruction for fitting then. When questioned first response was " there are health and safety issues" fitting new glass to oven doors. asked to explain what the issues were there was no response other than the suggestion that a service engineer be booked. Questioned again it was stated customer service dept had no technical knowledge - we suggested they should know who in the organisation did have the appropriate knowledge, as it was obvious this logic had not occurred to them. Questioned again the third response was that instructions are never issued because they can be misunderstood. We commented that perhaps a professional writer should be employed if Seimens uniquely for a manufacturer were unable to write simple and clear instructions about dis assembling/reassembling and oven door ... About as complicated as a wheelbarrows we suspect.....they again suggested we contact a service engineer. The inevitable conclusion to be drawn to date is that customer services dept is a misleading title for this department whose sole reason for existence appears to be the generation of revenue for the service dept. Don't buy Seimens if you expect a helpful after sales service

Worst Costumer Service in UK

They keep you in-hold for a long time then... Nothing, The technical engineer will never help at the 1st visit and kept talking to himself like a lunatic while working, and after 30min of searching on the machine and answering many mobile calls he said: (Oh I think you need some repair parts from Germany, it will be available in 2 weeks)..!!! In the second visit, even if you explain to the engineer how to park his car at the corner of the block, if the engineer did not find a parking for his fan in front of your building then be sure he will cancel your job with out contacting you even, don't try to call the costumer service since they will said after leaving you on-hold for a while: (Am sorry but the engineer is not answering his mobile, we left a message for him hope he will call you back please provide a parking for him next time), then they will create for you another appointment in the next week. Note: If there are no parking lots in front of the building; should I construct a special PARKING for Siemens Engineers or what..???? If there are any PAID parking around my block; I would pay for the engineer but Siemens people are making life hard for you just like their machines ..

Hearing Aid Business a Sham!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I tossed my Siemens hearing aids in the trash. After spending over six thousand dollars for them and thinking I was set for life, it seemed each time I brought them in for adjustment, I left with less hearing. Eventually at the 5th year they pretty much both gave up the ghost and I was told that Siemens probably won't even repair them after 5 years. You could say they are disposable. The worst part is, I really only wore them about 50 times in that whole period. I think the manufacturers of these hearing aids intentionally put cheap components in these aids so that they can earn more money and support their distributors. Can you imagine having to trade in your $6000 stereo every 5 years?? It's incredible. If you want to throw out your hard earned money buy a hearing aid. As for me, I will just ask people to speak up.

First for the best experience you need to wear them ALL DAY EVERYDAY even if your home alone. Second, siemens would repair them, the person you bought them from wanted you to buy another pair, so they lied to you.

My customers get 3-5 yrs on average and I have some that have aids for 10yrs.

Comparing HA's to a stereo is akin to comparing a polymer heart valve to a Lego piece. HA's are TINY and go inside your ear - a wax, condensation, and heat filled canal housing microprocessors, chips, speakers, mics, wiring, and batteries. HA's also need to be professionally fit selected, programmed, and fit depending on degree and specific type of loss at various frequencies along with approx 5 years of follow up service and care - not a stereo to be plugged in and listened to.

Siemens is a low end production manufacturer in Germany. Hearing aids are free there so government goes with cheaply manufactured aids. My mother's first pair were Siemens and she got another make within the 45 day return period.

I had a similar problem with my Siemens and starkey hearing aids for that matter. I'm hoping these new ones I found on indiegogo will be good.

But they have to fund successfully. So check them out http://igg.me/p/829437

Siemens Induction Hob not working in guarantee period

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
We had purchased the above product on 24/9/2012 from Better Life Dubai On 20/9/2014 the hob suddenly went off and would not work, so we called customer service of Better Life immediately. The technician turned up next day, but the first thing he said is that he is not a technician for Induction Hobs and then without even opening the hob to see what is the fault started to give his expert advice to us that generally the control module goes bust with such hobs due to the fact that there are always some insects in the kitchens generally in Dubai. The guy was so adamant that he did not listen to us and said we have to replace the control module and that is the only way to repair the hob. By the way he was talking we understood that he was trained to ensure the cost of repair and maintenance should be maximized. That day he has taken the hob to the service center and it has taken them 24 days to really diagnose the fault and reach a conclusion that the control module needs to be replaced and some other part which is faulty also needs to be replaced and for that we need to shell out AED 1300/- for no fault of ours. I have a few questions now from a reputed company like Siemens. 1.When there is a guarantee of 2 years for all Siemens Induction hobs then why are we not covered under this guarantee in Dubai. 2.How come, a high standard product from Siemens which costs us AED 3300/ doesn’t even work for 2 years. 3.How can you allow your dealers to keep technicians who do not have proper training to service Siemens products. 4.I have thrown an open challenge to your dealer in Dubai to come and check my house anytime and if they can find any insect in my kitchen then you are free to charge me for the replacement. Can you instruct your representative to take this challenge. 5.How do you explain 24 days delay in diagnosing the fault for a single Induction hob from a reputed company like Siemens. 6.How can I be sure that the technicians at Better Life have not spoiled my product. 7.What is the guarantee from Siemens about functioning of this repaired product in Future. I would request you to take up this matter on Priority with your dealer in Dubai and give me a solution in order to live-up to the reputation of Siemens and to assure customers about the quality and reliability of Siemens Products.

Exploding Siemens pyrolytic oven door.

I had the same problem. While using the pyrolytic function the door shattered and sprayed all over my kitchen just missing my cleaner and dog -not a pleasant experience. Siemens were absolutely useless. Fortunately I bought my oven at John Lewis and they tried their best for me but Siemens were adamant that the fault was mine, they said I must have knocked it. This, even though their own engineer examined the door and said that I was not to blame. He failed to be absolutely specific in his use of language and Siemens used that to wriggle out of their responsibility. John Lewis replaced my oven at little extra cost to me.

Terrible Customer Service by Siemens

My builder installed a brand new Siemens Built-in Microwave Oven (HF35M562BP) in my new house and within two months there were sparks in the oven when it was being used. The service agents inspected the oven and I didn't hear from them for two weeks. Called up to check and couple of days later received a call from Siemens saying the oven will be replaced because it is faulty. It has been over a month and numerous phone calls to Siemens - they take down my details and either do not return my calls or make promises that the oven will be replaced shortly but nothing has been done. This experience leaves me with the feeling that Customer Service or after sale service is non-existent when it comes to Siemens customer products.

Hob broken

5 years ago I had a new kitchen with Siemens appliances. 2 years ago the hinges on the fridge broke ( I also know of a colleague who had this same problem). Last September the hob broke completely - I was without it for approx 2 weeks until the part was available. It then cost me £207 to have it repaired. Less than a year later 2 rings on the hob have again broken. The engineer has just called and the parts aren't going to be available until 26th August - 3 weeks away!!! I am absolutely disgusted with Seimens and will never buy from them again and would discourage anyone from doing so

Ruined Christmas meal with Siemens Combi Oven

My new kitchen was installed in December with Siemens white goods throughout! They damaged the cooker hood so delayed delivery. Then the new combi-oven, less than a month old, failed to work on Christmas Day! On reporting this to Siemens on 28th December (the first day I was able to reach anyone) I was told they will not replace but have to send engineer - but cannot do so until 7th January! So from 25th December to 7th January I have no combi oven! I said OK for engineer provided he brings replacement so if he cannot fix, I do not have to wait for another week for another one; plus I have to wait in all day for the engineer! They won't do that! So much for customer service: I have spent £3,500 on goods by a company that doesn't provide service. BE WARNED - DON'T BUY SIEMENS! Customer Service polite but unable to help more. Engineers too busy - just shows how many complaints and breakdowns their equipment has doesn't it?

SIEMENS HEARING AID DON'T BUY!

Ok, 88 years old not a lot of money but pretty hard of hearing. So I trusted my audiologist. From the second month I started having problems with the aids. Well 2 years later and constantly bringing the aids back for repairs from the beginning, the warranted aids are gone and now I am told, NO more free fixes. My Son is mad as *** with Siemens not fixing the same issues from the start and stretching out the warranty period. 3500 dollars gone and pretty upset there's no resource help. Best scam going. If this were a car dealership I could get help but the crooks lobbyist in the State don't have lemon laws to protect us here. Insurance doesn't get involved to help either.

That was ten years ago and you were 88. My guess is that you're gone and so is your problem.

See how everything works out in the end?

R.I.P. and I hope you went to Heaven; there's a special club there for those of us with ear torture right next to the VIP lounge for the vision impaired...

Same problem in 2016.

Guest

I also brought Seimens hearing aid, said it was a lifetime warranty to adjust the level. When I took it back they told me I would need to buy another hearing aid. Uummm so it has been sitting in my drawer for the past 9 years.

Got a local BBB? Write the bastards up!

Local senior groups? Chat them up. You're retired, right?

Write some letters. Member of AARP, ask them for help.

Sue them in small claims court.

If you are a big enough PITA they will deal with you just to get rid of the problem.

Don't be a patsy.

Guest

Don't go to Audibel. $5,000.

never worked properly. Told when purchased they would last 15 years. After the 1st year when warranty is over, repair cost 2 yrs old $299. 3yrs old or more $599.

No one tells you this when you buy them. Now told they are only good for 5-7 yrs. No help at all from Starkey who made them. They are unethical.

Where are the consumer rights for hearing aids?

What senior can spend $5,000. every 5 yrs?

I'm sure if you called Starkey at 1 80* *** ****, the will be more than willing to help. You will get a real voice and ask for customer service.

Starkey does not determine the repair price by the age of your hearing aid. I have sent Starkey 10+ year old hearing aids for repair and was completely satisfied.

If you have a hearing aid, no matter the brand or age, you can send it to the all make department at Stakey. They will also help you find another Audiologist in your area that may be a little more reasonable.

Guest

I fit Siemens hearing aids and I have never had a problem with them extending the warranty when there is history of problems. 9 times out of 10 they will replace a problem aid with a new one.

As a private practice, I can't control an aid that keeps breaking down. With internal problems, I can only send it in for repair. What I can do is offer to fit a patient with a different aid from a different manufacture or give a refund. Any fitter or Audiologist that doesn't take care of a patient won't either be in business very long or will quickly damage their name.

People work too hard for their money to purchase an item that sits in a drawer. I encourage you to find another location to help you. Your hearing can be helped.

You just have to find the right person to help you hear. Good luck.

Guest

I wish that I had read these comments before I bought these Siemens hearing aids at a cost of $2200/ear. I was told that I couldn't shower with them but no mention that slight moisture would shut them off. The left one gives more of a problem than the right one.

Guest
reply icon Replying to comment of Guest-875416

They do make waterproof hearing aids, too. Most hearing health practitioners will tell you not to get them wet.

And if they don't, you probably should have read your user guide. Proper use, care and instructions are all contained in the user guide.

Guest

I agree. For 18 months I have been returning Siemens aids for repair.

I have not had them both working for three consecutive months. Just a waste on money.

Deficiency of service

Hi, We purchased a Seimens washing machine on 06.10.13 from your dealer DJ Appliances Pvt. Ltd., in Jayanagar, Bangalore. Your representative Sukumar Shetty assured us of the high professional values of the company and the product assuring us that the product is rated among the finest in technology, the company is very prompt in service and customer value. He candidly stated that the company does not believe in bargaining on the price and upholds the highest of professional values and quality, assuring us that we were paying a premium for quality of service. He categorically assured us that the product will be promptly delivered the next day, the representatives will call us and coordinate on the delivery, installation can happen ONLY 24 hours after delivery because you strictly follow processes.... Now here’s what happened: 1. One of your company representatives called me around 12.45 pm yesterday 07.10.13 and informed me that they would be send the machine between 4 and 5 pm. He said they will call me before leaving your premises and coordinate on the exact time. 2. I rescheduled my work to ensure I was home at 4 pm. Till 5.45 pm there was no sign of the washing machine or even a call from your office. I tried the numbers given on the bill and the number from which I had received a call in the afternoon. There was no response. After a lot of effort I got your representative Sukumar Shetty on the line and conveyed my dismay over this lapse. He said he will call me back in 10 minutes. 3. After 15 minutes one of your representatives named Sagar called me giving frivolous reason that they were on their way, vehicle broke down etc etc.... 4. I had fixed some professional appointments a 6 pm and my entire schedule went for a toss. I had to leave and informed Mr. Sagar not to bring the machine since I would not be available at home. He called several times and I clearly told him not to bring the machine. I informed Mr. Sukumar Shetty of this and also told him not to send the machine. 5. At 9 pm I began receiving several calls from an unknown transporter saying he had brought the machine to my place and to accept it. I was away and any amount of explaining to him that I was not home and I cannot receive the machine and he should take it back was unheeded to. He began pestering me with repeated calls. 6. I called Mr. Sagar and castigated him for sending the machine despite me saying I would not be at home, and sharing my number with a stranger without my permission and not keeping me posted. I would have lodged a police complaint for harassment if this had continued. At 9 pm you offices would be shut, no one would be reachable and causing such nuisance is just UNACCEPTABLE. I have been put to severe hardship with loss of professional time, disruption of plans and schedule, and harassment by your company representatives. I needed the washing machine urgently and had to get it working since I am scheduled to travel out tomorrow. Not having the machine as planned and assured by the company has again put me through tremendous stress and upset my entire schedule and planning. Siemens claims to be top of the line company and your prices are marked higher than others in the market. But your service has disproved your claims and misled the customer and betrayed my faith. This amounts to deficiency in service and cheating (proving contrary to what has been assured) which violate the Consumer Protection Act. I demand that Siemens responds to this complaint without delay and compensate for the lapses, cause and loss of professional time. I was shocked to learn duriing my conversations with the company representative that Siemens does not have a consumer redressal policy for India and their manufacturing standards are different for India. So, are we being dumped with reject/ substandard material assembled for the Indian Consumer? I demand that Siemens treats the Indian consumer on Par with the international customer since they claim to be a global company adhering to global standards

Siemens Customer Service, BSH Home Appliances Ltd. Guarantees Repair for items under warranty within 4-5 days. See ITEM 6) If the repair is covered by our guarantee, we will repair or replace the machine within 4-5 working days. Guarantee Conditions here: http://www.siemens-home.co.uk/Files/SiemensNew/Gb/en/Document/CustomerServices/WarrantyConditionsSiemens.pdf. They have had it in the workshop 7 days now and I was told they will not be able to look it until next week. It is very good coffee machine, but the service for what I paid for is not acceptable. The BHS Agent says in because they are busy this time scale does not apply in this case. So basically customers are bound terms or conditions, but Siemens is not? This is completely unacceptable and a formal complaint was filed and also to Trading Standards UK.
